Alternative Therapies



Nowadays people are much aware of the adverse effects caused due to use of allopathic medicines. Too much use of antibiotics weakens the immunity of our body. Hence, doctors are encouraging people to go for alternative therapies. Many alternative therapies are also known as complementary medicines. As we are much aware of the alternative therapies, we cannot turn our back to allopathic treatment as it is necessary in emergency conditions. There are many types of alternative medicines like Acupuncture, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Naturopathic medicine and Traditional Chinese medicine. In Acupuncture therapy, fine needles are used to pierce the skin to stimulate the points in the body for therapeutic purposes. In Homeopathy, a small dose of a substance is given to treat the whole body not the illness. Chinese traditional medicine is a complex herbal system which emphasizes on restoring a balance among energy, body and spirit to maintain health. Ayurveda maintains a balance among the five elements and life energy with in the doshas, physiological energies.
